Jamey Butcher

Jamey Butcher is President and CEO of Chemonics. Since becoming CEO in 2020, Jamey has focused Chemonics on improving and scaling outcomes to transform the way customers in complex settings experience value and results.

Since joining Chemonics in 1998, Jamey has embraced cutting-edge technologies and implemented strategic initiatives to propel the organization into new markets. From 2013 to 2020, he served as Executive Vice President, leading Chemonics’ entry into the global health and supply chain market and overseeing the acquisition and management of Chemonics’ global health supply chain. From 2007 to 2013, he held a variety of executive roles, overseeing Chemonics’ portfolios for Europe and Eurasia, Global Health, Africa, and East Africa. In these roles, he diversified the company’s portfolio and developed a business development quality assurance approach.

Jamey received an M.A. from American University in international political economy and a B.A. in political science from Colorado State University.
