Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP)

Project Dates: March 2014 - March 2021
In the most populated region in Pakistan, new policy and investment is giving a boost to agribusinesses and creating economic growth.

The Punjab region of Pakistan, one of the most populated areas in the country, is going through a period of rapid development. The agriculture sector — which includes livestock, dairy, and horticulture — has long played a key role as the region’s main economic driver. To capitalize on this tremendous economic opportunity, the USAID Punjab Enabling Environment Project (PEEP) is making it easier for agribusinesses to grow. PEEP works with the private sector, government, civil society organizations, and academia to reform policies, attract investment, and create jobs in livestock, dairy, and horticulture.
