Jamey Butcher

Jamey Butcher is president and CEO of Chemonics. Under Jamey’s visionary leadership, Chemonics is building on its nearly 50-year legacy of promoting meaningful change and delivering exceptional business outcomes.

Since joining Chemonics in 1998, Jamey has embraced cutting-edge technologies and implemented strategic initiatives that have propelled the organization into new markets. From 2013 to 2020, he served as executive vice president, overseeing the global health and supply chain portfolio and leading efforts to implement sustainable supply chains and scale innovative approaches. From 2007 to 2013, he held a variety of executive roles, overseeing Chemonics’ portfolios for Africa, Europe and Eurasia, and Global Health. In these roles, he diversified the company’s portfolio, developed a business development quality assurance approach, and trained staff in innovative enterprise development methods.

Jamey holds an M.A. from American University in international political economy and a B.A. in political science from Colorado State University.
