Alan Pringle
Alan Pringle is a global health supply chain executive with more than 30 years of procurement and supply chain management and logistics experience working with USAID, the World Bank, EU, DFID and other bi-lateral donors. Under his leadership as the Global Supply Chain Director, Chemonics’ Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management project has delivered over $5 billion in health commodities to 90+ countries. Alan is recognized for his strategic innovation and operational excellence, having pioneered initiatives such as vendor-managed antiretroviral inventory in Southern Africa, GS1 compliance, and decentralized procurement models. His leadership is marked by resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to strengthening national health systems. Prior to joining Chemonics, Alan held senior roles with Crown Agents and the Partnership for Supply Chain Management, managing complex supply chain transformations in countries including Lesotho, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Myanmar. Mr. Pringle received a Master of Business Administration – Strategy and Procurement Management from the University of Birmingham.
