Sarah Ahmed

As vice president, Sarah Ahmed oversees Chemonics’ portfolio of U.S. government projects. Sarah has 20 years of experience implementing U.S. government-funded projects in democracy and governance, and peace, stability, and transition across Europe and Eurasia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.

Prior to this, Sarah served as senior vice president of Talent, Learning, and Development at Chemonics, where she created efficiencies through improved processes and guidance in the areas of global operations, talent acquisition and management, learning and development, and portfolio performance. Previously, Sarah served in leadership positions including senior project director, chief of party, and deputy chief of party on complex stabilization and local governance projects.

Sarah holds a B.A. in history from the State University of New York and an M.A. in international peace and conflict resolution from American University.
