
Rebecca Brewington is a specialist in governance and institutional strengthening with more than 20 years of experience managing programs in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia. As Managing Director at Chemonics, she oversees initiatives related to human-centered design, public sector reform, and civil society development, focusing on transparency and accountability. She has worked with various stakeholder groups and advised ministries on change management, combining innovation with institutional practices. Her experience includes economic reform in Jordan; municipal governance strengthening in Poland, Slovakia, Kosovo, and Iraq; health sector reform in Palestine; cross-border resilience projects in East Africa; civil society initiatives in Tanzania; and land, health, and justice programs in Rwanda. She recently contributed to a $250 million global climate finance initiative that attracted $380 million in private investment for biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and improved services.
