Joshua Leland

As corporate development officer, Joshua Leland leads the execution of Chemonics’ inorganic growth strategy through strategic partnerships, investment, and acquisition. He also oversees ChemCapital, Chemonics’ investment subsidiary to mobilize private capital and fuel an inclusive and sustainable future.

Joshua is a corporate development and investment professional with more than two decades of progressive experience managing teams to deliver results and achieve growth. His expertise spans strategic leadership, entrepreneurial initiatives, and executive management in both headquarters and overseas. In prior roles, he led corporate priority business development initiatives, helped launch and lead Chemonics’ UK business, established and led the company’s former Corporate Partnerships Practice, and founded its Blockchain for Development Solutions Lab to combat poverty, improve humanitarian supply chain management, and increase aid effectiveness.

Joshua holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in history from Bates College.
