Garron Hansen

Garron Hansen serves as integration lead for Chemonics Europe, leveraging 20 years of international experience working across countries and donors to align strategic priorities and business objectives. Prior to this, he served as senior vice president for Chemonics’ West Africa and Haiti division, managing business operations and expanding Chemonics’ portfolio of projects. Prior to joining Chemonics, he was a strategy program officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he managed a $187 million portfolio of 17 investments targeting agricultural markets in Africa, providing oversight of investees and grantees, and offering strategic advice on implementation. He spent six years living in Rwanda and Kenya working in private sector development and agriculture and began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Garron holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in foreign affairs, Sub-Saharan Africa from the University of Virginia. He is on the Advisory Council of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and the Board of the Society for International Development.
