Office of Transition Initiatives Côte d'Ivoire Transition Initiative 2 (CITI2)

Project Dates: June 2014 - June 2016
After a decade of political and economic crisis culminating in the 2010-2011 post-electoral conflict, Côte d’Ivoire is charting a new course toward economic recovery and political stability.

In October 2015, just a few years after experiencing tumultuous political and economic conflict, Côte d’Ivoire held its first peaceful presidential election in more than two decades. The USAID/Office of Transition Initiatives Côte d’Ivoire Transition Initiative 2 (CITI2) worked with local partners to advance the country toward peace and stability. By strengthening community cohesion and increasing people’s access to credible information, CITI2 supported an open and credible elections process and restored faith in government institutions.
