Chief of Party, Colombia Natural Wealth Project Ricardo Sanchez

Ricardo Sánchez is currently the Chief of Party on the USAID Natural Wealth project in Colombia. He has over 20 years of experience implementing complex environment and natural resource (ENR) programs for international donors, including USAID, Government of Colombia (GoC) agencies, and the private sector. He has extensive experience working in the ENR sector in Latin America, promoting sustainable agricultural practices through net-zero deforestation agreements, managing large environmental, agricultural, and rural development projects, and coordinating international cooperation programs such as USAID’s Land and Rural Development Program (LRDP) where he promoted and scaled up sustainable value chains in post-conflict regions engaging various indigenous in Colombia. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and a master’s degree in sustainable agriculture from the Imperial College in the U.K
