Guinea Country Director, GHSC-PSM Claude Bahati

Claude Bahati is the Country Director for the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Guinea program. He brings over 12 years of management and technical experience in global health supply chain. His professional experience encompasses evaluating, designing, and directing successful implementation of public health supply chain programs in more than three countries including his native Rwanda, Burundi, and Guinea. While previously supporting the USAID/SIAPS program in Guinea, Claude led the project’s efforts to re-establish conditions for a quick recovery of the supply chain system after the Ebola crisis. Prior to that, Claude directed the PEPFAR-funded SCMS project’s supply chain operations in Burundi, providing procurement services and supply chain technical assistance to help the country achieve the HIV/AIDS 90-90-90 targets. Previously, Claude worked for JSI Research and Training and Crown Agents Inc. in Rwanda where he helped the country establish and sustain a coordinated and pooled procurement of HIV commodities. A proficient supply chain manager, Claude conducted supply chain assessments, which led to country strategic plans and contributed to the Global Fund grant development through direct support to recipient countries. He holds a Master’s Degree in health economics and pharmaco-economics from the Barcelona School of Management and a BSc. in pharmacy.
