Chief Financial Officer Can Varol

Can has more than 12 years of experience in corporate finance, U.S. government contracting, capital structure, and treasury management at Chemonics. He also has expertise in process improvement, financial planning and analysis, big data analysis, managing financial diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and strategic integration. Can is a seasoned and caring leader who embodies Chemonics’ values. He most recently served as treasurer, where he led a number of initiatives to streamline processes, including the recent Anaplan roll-out, and reducing borrowing and banking costs for us. Can served in Afghanistan as the senior compliance and finance advisor and in Turkey as the deputy chief of operations. Before joining Chemonics, Can worked at Booz Allen Hamilton where he supported several civilian federal agencies in award oversight and grant portfolio monitoring. Can holds an M.B.A. from the George Washington University and a B.A. in business administration from the College of William and Mary.
