Regional Control Tower Planner Alimatou Bio Toure Zohoun

Mrs. Alimatou Bio Touré Zohoun is a reproductive, maternal, and newborn child health professional with over 15 years of experience. She began her career as a midwife, providing antenatal, delivery, and family planning services to rural areas in Benin. Following a public health degree, she trained and supervised health workers in obstetrics and neonatal services. In 2009, she joined the Beninese Ministry of Health team, managing the national level supply chain and monitoring the introduction of new contraceptive methods in Benin (Sayana Press, Implanon, Caya diaphragm). Additionally, Alimatou was the main liaison between the ministry of health partners involved in the contraceptive supply chain in Benin and was responsible for compiling data for various partner tools (e.g., PPMR).

Alimatou is the Regional Control Tower Planner for the Global Health Supply Chain Technical Assistance Francophone Task Order. She has successfully led the strategy to transition Benin and Burkina Faso to Premium members while supporting other countries’ engagement to the VAN to balance countries’ supply and demand through inventory reports, avoiding stockouts and overstocks.
