Director, Diversity and Inclusion Albert E. Smith Jr.
A collaborative, strategic, and results-oriented leader, Albert E. Smith Jr. is an organizational learning and development practitioner, corporate diversity and inclusion strategist, and movement intellectual with over 15 years of experience leading medium-to-large systems initiatives in the federal government, non-profit, and private sectors. Most recently, he served as a consultant with Cook Ross, Inc., a leading consulting firm specializing in organizational transformation and diversity and inclusion management. A master facilitator and storyteller, Albert’s professional services and practice specialties include coaching, keynoting and group facilitation, training, leadership development, cultural audit and needs assessment, curriculum design and delivery, and enterprise-wide system integration. Trained in black cultural studies, queer and gender studies, critical race studies and theological ethics, Albert received a master’s degree in Theological Studies from the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of arts degree from Fisk University (magna cum laude) in English Literature.
