Senior Reading and Pedagogical Advisor, Lecture Pour Tous Program Ablaye Niang
Ablaye Niang is a Senegalese senior education officer with 28 years of professional experience in the Senegalese education system. He specializes in supervising, training, and mentoring teachers as well as designing and developing of teaching and learning materials for early grade reading. Since 2010, he has participated in developing, managing, and implementing national reading programs, including programs funded by USAID, UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education, and the Francophone University Agency. His expertise in innovative didactics was informed by his university research and sub-regional workshops on language teaching in sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, he is the senior reading and pedagogical advisor for the USAID Lecture Pour Tous Program, which collaborates with the Senegalese Ministry of National Education to improve students’ literacy and support teachers’ professional development.
