Program Manager | Washington, DC | 2026


Introduction

The program is a District-funded initiative designed to support entrepreneurs and strengthen Washington, DC’s technology ecosystem. The initiative will provide programming, events, and support services to help early-stage technology companies establish, develop, and grow within the District. Activities may include cohort-based programming, training, and ecosystem convenings, as well as engagement with investors, industry stakeholders, and partner organizations to expand access to resources and opportunities for participating companies. The program aims to foster collaboration, increase access to capital and support services, and contribute to the continued growth of high-potential technology sectors in Washington, DC. This program is part of a proposal opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

Programming

  • Support day-to-day implementation of program activities, including coordination of startup cohorts or participant groups
  • Manage participant communications and engagement to ensure strong program participation
  • Track participant progress and program performance against established goals and metrics
  • Coordinate delivery of workshops, training sessions, and program activities
  • Support coordination between participants and program partners, including service providers and ecosystem organizations

Operations

  • Support grant administration and compliance processes, including documentation, reporting, and record-keeping
  • Assist in preparation and submission of program reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain operational systems, including data tracking tools and program management platforms
  • Support coordination of contracts, vendors, and program logistics
  • Collaborate with program leadership to ensure alignment across activities and priorities
  • Identify and support improvements to program operations and workflows

Events & Convenings

  • Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and convenings, including vendor management and on-site support
  • Support participant engagement and communication before, during, and after events
  • Assist with coordination of partners and stakeholders involved in events
  • Support post-event follow-up, including tracking participation and collecting feedback

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, international development, or a related field required
  • Significant professional experience (typically in the range of 4–7 years) in program management, operations, or coordination roles
  • Experience supporting programs, events, or multi-stakeholder initiatives preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, or innovation-focused programs preferred
  • Experience supporting grant administration, reporting, or compliance processes preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience coordinating events, workshops, or stakeholder engagement activities preferred
  • Familiarity with data tracking systems, CRM tools, or program management platforms preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
