The Roles

Chemonics is seeking exceptional Subject Matter Experts and Consultants for upcoming proposals and projects in the climate and civil maritime sectors:

  • Community‑led climate and disaster resilience
  • Livelihoods, workforce development, and inclusive economic adaptation
  • Local governance, policy, and regulatory reform
  • Climate finance, investment facilitation, and public‑private partnerships
  • Civil maritime, coastal governance, and port/community resilience
  • Gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion and locally led development
  • Environmental resource management and biodiversity
  • Climate risk analytics, remote sensing, and digital decision‑support tools
  • Media, communications, AI and digitalisation, and knowledge sharing
  • ESG, sustainability, and carbon accounting

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Post-graduate (Master’s) degree in climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, development, communications, finance, economics, business administration, law, or other related fields preferred
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in relevant subject matter delivering quality services.
  • Strong technical understanding of climate change impacts in the Philippines, including risks to vulnerable communities, livelihoods, infrastructure, and local governance systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of different stakeholders such as women, the elderly, people with disabilities, and others with special mobility needs including an ability to community with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with senior leadership across key Philippine government agencies, LGUs, civil society organisations, or community‑based institutions strongly preferred
  • Strong English communication skills required; knowledge of Tagalog or other Philippine languages is a plus
  • We are seeking Filipino nationals or expatriates currently based in the Philippines.
