Achini Wijesinghe is a safeguarding and inclusion specialist with over 12 years of experience advancing gender equality, disability rights, and protection in development and humanitarian settings. She has led safeguarding and GBV initiatives with organizations including UNFPA, Internews, and Humanity & Inclusion. Achini brings expertise in policy advocacy, risk assessment, and capacity strengthening, focused on community-driven, survivor-centered approaches. She has extensive experience training cross-sectoral national and regional actors in safeguarding and inclusion. Achini holds an M.A. in international management, a B.A. in sociology, and CHS Alliance’s IQTS-3 safeguarding investigator certification.
