An operations associate connects the division with the rest of the company by
serving as an informational resource for employees in Washington, D.C., and in
the field. The associate organizes the division’s involvement in company
initiatives, assists in planning events, and provides overall administrative
support to the division and senior vice president. A typical day for the
associate may include reviewing invoices, compiling budget and financial
information, scheduling meetings, addressing recruitment needs, working on
proposals, or supporting staff in their professional development and training
needs.

about this position
|
|
A project management associate supports and backstops Chemonics’ work
throughout the world by working on one or more projects and carrying out
various administrative tasks. A typical day for the associate includes
processing invoices, communicating with field offices to ensure smooth project
management, recruiting project staff and consultants, arranging travel for
consultants, and assisting with salary negotiations. The associate may also
participate on proposal teams. On occasion, the associate travels to the field
to gather information or assist with project start-up or closeout.
The associate takes on various proposal development roles, mentors others
taking on such roles for the first time, and shares best practices.

Treasury

about this position
|
|
The treasury associate works with accounts payable to process payments to our
vendors, field offices, and home-office staff. The associate also works with
accounts receivable and project management units to makes sure that Chemonics’
invoices are paid. In addition, the associate assists with daily bank
transactions, sets up vendor accounts, and assigns personal identification
numbers to local employees.

to produce high-quality proposals and reports. Typical tasks include working
with proposal teams to create well-organized and formatted text and spreadsheet
files, communicating publications standards and processes to staff companywide,
and ensuring documents meet deadlines and the client's requirements.

about this position
|
|
A corporate training associate works with Chemonics’ technical experts and
training managers to develop and implement training in subject areas relevant
to our work, from proposal writing to budgeting. The associate provides
logistical support for home-office courses and helps organize and deliver the
new employee corporate orientation. The associate also processes staff
applications for offsite training, collects and analyzes course evaluation
forms, and updates course materials and schedules.
