Latin America and the Caribbean

Building local partnerships to protect natural resources and promote economic growth

Beginning with a focus on agricultural development, Chemonics now has a wide array of projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are working with local partners to protect forests and biodiversity, promote fair and equitable economic growth, alleviate poverty and food insecurity, and encourage financial sector reform. In Haiti, for instance, we continue to support rebuilding from the 2010 earthquake and investing in agriculture and other key sectors to improve livelihoods. Our project portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean is managed by three regional business units—Haiti, South America, and Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
