The Technical Assistance Services project worked with USAID to develop assessments and recommendations for climate change initiatives. Building on successes of past USAID projects, Chemonics, through the project, provided technical expertise and quality control on task orders issued through the Environmental Policy and Institutional Strengthening indefinite quantity contract.
In addition, the project illustrated these best practices through case studies focusing on lessons learned throughout the policy reform process and analyzed and offered recommendations on policy and institutional development issues related to the overall focus of the contract. The project conducted an assessment on tropical forestry and biological diversity for the USAID mission in Paraguay, an assessment for the Food Security Program in Africa, and collected information from numerous U.S. government agencies on bilateral and regional financial contributions related to implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Project Duration: 2003 - 2011
