Information Resources Manager

​Chemonics seeks a Washington-based information resources manager to join our team of highly dedicated information and knowledge management professionals. The information resources manager will ensure that sound information and document management principles, tools, and practices are integrated in the company's core operations and systems. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage corporate capability and past performance information, produce related analyses and content for proposals and project performance reports, and facilitate in-house training
  • Assist staff in compiling, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting past performance data or findings for proposals and reports
  • Manage information and knowledge-sharing tools, databases, and applications, and train staff in their use
  • Oversee Knowledge Center operations, including corporate library collections; serve as a resource for sourcing technical information and documents
  • Work with staff and technical practices to adopt and reinforce quality standards and conventions for organizing, naming, and meta-tagging data, information, and documents in Chemonics' knowledge management systems
  • Supervise one or more support staff
  • Contribute to departmental work plans and budget preparation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of administrative and/or technically relevant work experience preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven skills and experience in computer applications including MS Word Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of relational database systems, software applications and collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint), and internet/Web technology (including HTML)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proven organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in a foreign language and/or experience living or working in developing countries preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
  • Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
